The emergence of communication problems arising from the changes that occur within the developing social order and the efforts to eliminate these problems have ensured development with the public and their transformation into a transportation. It is based on the basic science of communication with the public, which is the development of positive indicators within mutual understanding between institutions and target audiences and the planned communication effort to maintain this.
Institutional public relations activities manage to enlighten with activities, to reflect the formation of an institution's existence to its target audience, to cooperate with the public by exchanging information and to ensure that the work is carried out more easily, to reach a social responsibility awareness and to reach this awareness in the community. Today, the elimination of deteriorations in public relations in various public and private institutions, the beginning of their existence, and the capacity of expert individuals have been increased. The relevant departments of communication deficiencies that provide training in this field train individuals equipped for the necessary workforce.
In the Public Relations and Promotion Department, efforts are made to employ qualified workforce in the media sector, where especially in recent years, dizzying developments and advancements have been made, as well as in areas such as communication marketing, marketing, advertising and management consultancy. In this department, primarily theoretical and applied communication courses, as well as advertising, human relations, psychology and chamber courses are given with treatment. In addition to the theoretical information given, practical courses provide warm-ups to the profession to be taken. In addition, analysis projects and provided internship opportunities foresee that they will start with the public in a better scope and in a way that will reveal the problems experienced in business life.
In the department, which started education-training services in 2009-2010, primarily theoretical and applied communication courses, as well as advertising, human relations, psychology and treatment courses are given with distribution. In terms of theoretical and practical applications, the Faculty has Fırat University Radio and Television and a computer laboratory that is open all day.
